A Woman Who Rises is One Who Sees, Episode 2

Free Download: She Sees Outline

This week Cherry and I are talking about a woman who rises is one who sees the potential in herself. As women, we are often so focused on our husbands and children and helping them grow, that we fail to see our own potential and value. Today, we are turning the focus on you, and we want to challenge you to see yourself through God’s eyes.

2 Corinthians 5:17-20 (ESV) says,

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.  All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

If you are in Christ, you are a new creation. You are not simply refurbished, you are made completely new by your union with Jesus and the Holy Spirit abiding in you. You have been given new life, a new identity, new power, and a new purpose. Stop and reread that sentence. Chew on it for a few moments.

Now, think of the labels others have put on you, or you have assigned to yourself. Do they line up with your new identity as God’s adopted child? The God who created the world and everything in it, has chosen you to join His royal family. You are now identified with Him. You carry His name, you carry Him inside of you! Jesus has disarmed Satan and the principalities and powers that war against you. He has broken the power of sin over you. Girl, you are chocked full of potential! And God has given you the avenue to fulfill your potential in your new job as an ambassador for Christ. God wants to make his appeal to others through you! Is there any job more significant and fulfilling than that?

Cherry and I want to encourage you to rise to the occasion. That is what this year is all about- rising to your potential. So let me close with a couple of questions for you to meditate on this week:

In what ways have your views of yourself been skewed by the lies of the enemy and your life experiences?

What do you need to do to exchange those views and see yourself as God sees you?
