A Woman Who Rises is One Who Sees, Episode 3

Free Download: She Sees Outline

Psalms 46:10 says, be still and know that I am God. It sounds so simple, yet in today’s busy world it can be quite challenging to take the time to be still. Join Cherry and I at the table this week as we discuss the spiritual discipline of contemplation.  Slowing in order to take the time to notice, reflect, and respond leads us into a deeper awareness of God’s constant presence with us. It also puts us in a posture to be shaped and molded into His likeness. This week Cherry shares with us the benefits and the keys to experiencing God in a more meaningful way through this spiritual discipline.

We would love to hear about your contemplative practices. We hope you will join the conversation in our Facebook Group, She Rises. Tell us how you have managed to find time, and ways you have practiced contemplation. And share with us how this spiritual discipline has helped you grow and develop a deeper connection with God. Iron sharpens iron. We need each other, and we have so much to learn from each other!

I pray that as you practice contemplation you will develop the same hunger and thirst as the Psalmist:

You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land where there is no water.

Psalms 63:1-3
