Truths About Prayer

Prayer is foundational to our relationship with the Lord. It is simply a conversation with God to share our thoughts, needs, concerns, triumphs and joys and then listen for his response to us. Here are six truths about prayer to help you develop or strengthen your prayer life.

  1. GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS –

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek,  and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7, NKJV

  2. GOD TEACHES WISDOM –

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” James 1:5, NKJV

  3. GOD SPEAKS TO US –

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17, NKJV

  4. GOD HEARS US –

“Now this is the confidence we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” 1 John 5:14, NKJV

  5. GOD WANTS US TO PRAY –

“…pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

    1 Thessalonians 5:17-18, NKJV

  6. GOD REVEALS TRUTH –

“Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” Jeremiah 33:3, NKJV
