Meet Melissa

Melissa Fairchild is a trauma-informed mentor, writer, and founder of Hope Rewritten—a ministry birthed from her own healing journey. With a heart for women who’ve walked through abuse, addiction, abandonment, and deep grief, Melissa carries a message that broken doesn’t mean beyond repair. She’s passionate about helping others trade shame for identity, trauma for triumph, and pain for purpose. Through one-on-one mentoring, creative storytelling, and faith-rooted resources, she walks with women from survival to surrender—and into freedom.

Melissa is a single mom of three—two adult daughters and a son who is a senior in high school—Melissa is also a proud grandma to one beautifully red-headed miracle granddaughter.

My (Cherry) connection with Melissa began about 15 years and I am so grateful for her friendship. Not only has she been the friend I didn’t know I needed in several difficult seasons, she has also loved my children and grandchildren well. Both our hearts for hurting women echo each others’ and that’s why I am thrilled she has agreed to serve Being Remade Ministry as our “resident” blogger.

She also actively serves in her community through:

  • Woman on Watch — Denton Freedom House Women’s Home
  • Creative Writing Team—Vally Creek Church
  • Kid’s Serve Team — Valley Creek Church
  • Servant Leader — River of Grace Tres Dias
  • Prayer Team — Refuge for Women – North Texas

And when she’s not (grand)mothering, mentoring, or ministering, you’ll find her writing with passion, sipping coffee like it’s her job, and loving deeply—with a heart anchored in Jesus.

You can read more of her work on her website at Hope Rewritten.
